The 18-year-old youth who was arrested on Sunday for seriously injuring a police officer with a flare was brought to the Piraeus public prosecutor's office on Monday in order to testify.
The individual has confessed to his actions.
The incident took place at the 'Melina Mercouri' sports arena in the Rentis neighbourhood of Piraeus, during sports violence that resulted in the questioning of 424 people over the injury of three policemen, one of whom, 31, remains in intensive care.
