Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis joined a meeting via teleconference held at the Operations Coordination Centre in the region of Thessaly on Monday, during which he was briefed on the worsening weather conditions expected to prevail in the region within the next few hours. The new wave of bad weather is expected to affect the already flood-stricken areas of Thessaly, which were hard hit by Storm Daniel.
Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Minister Vassilis Kikilias was already in Thessaly, while due to the imminent change in the weather, as forecast by the National Meteorological Service, state mechanisms were on alert.
